FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

“How much will my treatment cost?”

Treatment costs £75 per hour. During the initial consultation future costs will be agreed. These will vary depending on location and the amount of time considered necessary for each treatment session (usually a minimum of 45minutes which would be charged pro rata). Cancellation within 48hours of an appointment will be charged at 50% of the agreed rate.

“Can you deal directly with my health insurance company?”

We are a registered Physiotherapy Provider with BUPA, AXA, Vitality and Cigna. Please confirm with your Insurance Company that your proposed treatment is covered by your policy and the proportion of the fees that they will pay. We can also accept payment from Western Provident Association Limited (WPA). Payment can be made in cash, by cheque or by bank transfer within 15 days of invoice.

“How many treatments will I need?”
The frequency and duration of treatment sessions will be determined during the initial consultation and will depend on the cause and extent of your mobility issues. A few treatments may suffice or longer term therapy may be necessary to achieve your goals.
“How far will you travel?”
We are based in Sussex and will visit you at a reasonable distance without extra travel charges. Longer journeys will incur additional cost. Please contact us to confirm whether you are located within our catchment area.
“Can I come to you?”

Our experience has shown that providing treatment in your own home or place of residence, is much more effective than you having to attend a clinic. Observation of the specific functional challenges of your home environment enables us to establish the most appropriate rehabilitation
programme to address your goals. It also removes the practical problem of you having to travel to us, particularly if you have mobility problems.

“How soon can you see me?”
Depending on our case load and your availability, we would normally expect to see you within a week of initial contact.
“Do you only treat Neurological conditions?”

No, we also treat a variety of mobility problems arising from the natural aging process including loss of stamina, poor balance and reduced confidence. We also have experience in vestibular and orthopaedic rehabilitation.

“How do I know that I will receive the best treatment for my condition?”

We are all Senior Neurological Physiotherapists with many years of experience working in the NHS and in Private Practice. We are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the industry regulator established to maintain standards and protect the public. We are also affiliated to
‘The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists’ which applies a strict Code of Practice to its members and requires us to remain aware of the very latest methodology for the treatment of patients with neurological conditions. We will always liaise closely with other medical professionals involved in
your case to ensure consistency and effectiveness of treatment.

“What age range do you cover?”
We work with young adults and adults of all ages, but generally not children as they require more specialist intervention.
"Will my information be kept confidential?"

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) which is the UK’s independent authority to ensure data privacy for individuals and we aim to comply with the latest Guide to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We take your privacy very seriously and any information we hold about you, your condition or your treatment, will only be shared with another person with your prior consent. That information will be stored securely, be available to you any time you would like to see it and will be destroyed once it is no longer required.
